well its my first post on this new blog, i cant keep the fansub project while I’m in the college dorm but i promise to restart it next year when i get some friends to rent a house.
meanwhile I’m going to start posting cool and interesting stuff i find, see or watch on the internet. starting with the Zune software:
in this post im going to talk about the zune software offline capabilities and the next post about its online marketplace etc.
there is just one word to describe this software AWESOME!!
the screen above is the first thing you will se when you open the software, it has shortcuts to your most played songs, favorite songs and last played songs.
this may seem like nothing but you will start appreciating the awesome work the software does to have your favorite things ready to play on startup.
you will also find the SmartDJ quick launch, witch when you give them an artist name and click play the software will create from nowhere a playlist that matches the genre and artist, this is an awesome feature and i use it every time to create random playlist and save them if i really like it.
the next screen is how the default collection view look when artist is selected.
even if the software lets you organize the way it displays music by genre, albums, songs and playlists this is the best view to find music. it displays the box art of all your albums ( it auto updates if there is no box art on the file directory, it can even find weird hard to find albums) provided you have them tagged correctly.
you can also find the search box on the top corner witch works like the search bar on windows vista/ 7 and helps you find any music, picture or video file in a few clicks.
now its displaying the “now playing” screen, if you pay attention its playing a smart DJ playlist of bob Sinclair, but the best thing about this screen is its gorgeous view, the cover art background switches every few seconds randomly a few cover arts.
the Zune software if minimized it will be integrated on the taskbar making it easier to switch songs and use play and pause buttons fast.
now if you want to have a more visual player the software comes with a mini player mode that includes cover art and on some artist it even shows a background picture of them.
The Zune software 4.0 also comes with full integration with the new Microsoft windows 7 jump list.
you can access any of your quick plays or pinned objects or start a shuffle playlist really quick.
if you have windows, it does not matter if you have a Zune or not, the Zune software is one awesome media player and you should give it a try and see if its for you.

it needs more customizable options. and Zune software customizer wont work on version 4.0 of the software.
